Our alumni have a history of shared experiences and memories, understood by those who studied before them, those who studied with them and those who will soon join the alumni community.
Eduma’s nearly 145,000 alumni represent one of the most talented, innovative, and networked communities on the planet. Many remain deeply involved in the life of the Institute. They volunteer, serve on boards, head up regional alumni clubs, and generously support Eduma’s students, faculty, and staff. As individuals, their contributions are extraordinary. As a community, their impact is infinite.
All undergraduates attend Yale College, an intimate learning environment offering instruction in the liberal arts and sciences.

School Principal & School Board Member
I have been the Principal of Creaney ESC since Term 2 of 2023, and the Deputy Principal here before that since 2021.
I moved to Perth from New Zealand in 2019 and started working at Creaney ESC that year. I have had the privilege of working alongside all of the incredible staff we have at Creaney and the fortune of working with the students and their families over the years.
I am passionate about working with children with disabilities, advocating for them and their families and witnessing first hand the incredible achievements they make each and every day.
I enjoy being a member of the School Board and networking with those who represent our school and ensure that we run efficiently and meet the needs of our students.

Hi, I’m Nettie. I’ve proudly served on the Creaney ESC Board since 2023. I’m a parent at the Centre and bring my passion for leadership development into everything I do—professionally and personally.
With a strong focus on neuro-affirming practices and disability support, I’m all about creating inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive. I’m also deeply committed to building sustainable organisations that celebrate diversity and foster genuine inclusion.

Hi, I’m Cindy van Zyl, and I’ve been proud to serve as a parent member on the School Board since 2021. My connection with Creaney ESC began when my son started in kindy, and it’s been a pleasure to be part of our school community ever since.
My background is in Human Resources, with a focus on learning and development, and I currently work in education support. I’m especially passionate about inclusive education and contributing to a school environment where no child is left behind.
Alongside Lauren Bridges, I help run the Parent Connect Committee, where we aim to create opportunities for parents and students to come together and connect socially outside the classroom. Our hope is to continue to build up our supportive school community.
When I’m not at school or work, you’ll find me spending time with my people (including our much-loved dog) or enjoying holidays at the beach.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to support Creaney ESC and look forward to continuing to work with our wonderful families and staff.

(Board Member, 2025)
I’m a passionate advocate for inclusive education and a proud mum to a son at Creaney Education Support Centre. With lived experience navigating early intervention and support services, I bring both empathy and insight to my role on the board.
I have a background in marketing within the not-for-profit and disability sectors, and I’m currently undertaking postgraduate studies in social impact at the University of Western Australia

School Staff Representative
Originally from Perth, Scotland I emigrated to this wonderful country with husband and three children over 21 years ago.
Although I joined the School Board this year, I bring over 32 years of experience in the disability sector. For the past 18 years, I have been part of the team at Creaney Education Support Centre—first as an Education Assistant, and now dividing my time as the Library Officer. In this role, I manage and catalogue our resource collection, helping to make learning materials more accessible and useful for both staff and students.
Outside of work, I enjoy attending live sporting events such as Rugby Union, basketball, and netball, as well as music performances and all genres of theatre and travel. In quieter moments, I love upcycling furniture, reading, and taking strolls with my beautiful 12-year-old black Labrador.

Parent Representative
I am the proud mum of two girls and my youngest has been attending Creaney Education Support Centre since 2023.
This is my first year serving on the School Board and I am hopeful I can be a strong advocate for all the children at Creaney ESC over the next three years.
I enjoy taking walks and quiet nights in watching a good movie.

I’m delighted to be part of the School Board at Creaney ESC, a place that holds special meaning for my family. My son attended the centre many years ago, and it’s a privilege to return now in a different role, contributing to a school community that once supported us so warmly. You may also see me around the school pulling my therapy trolley in one of my other roles as an occupational therapist.
